Terms of Use

Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using UnderKey, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

License

UnderKey grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control. You may not reverse-engineer, copy, modify, or distribute the app.

What UnderKey does

UnderKey encrypts documents, photos, and notes on your device using AES-256-GCM. Each unlock pattern opens a separate vault. Everything is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers or anyone else's. The app includes a document scanner with auto edge detection and on-device OCR to suggest expiry dates.

What we don't do

Your responsibility

Free tier and Pro subscriptions

UnderKey is free for up to 10 items. All security features (AES-256 encryption, decoy vaults, document scanner with OCR, expiry reminders, auto-lock, and screenshot protection on Android) are included in the free tier.

UnderKey Pro removes the item limit. Pro is available as:

Prices may change. The price you see at the time of purchase is the price you pay.

Auto-renewing subscriptions (Weekly and Annual)

Weekly and Annual subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You will be charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.

You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your device's subscription settings:

Cancelling turns off auto-renewal but does not refund the current period. Your subscription remains active until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). Refund requests are subject to their policies:

We cannot issue refunds directly.

Disclaimers

UnderKey is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your needs. You use the app at your own risk.

While we use industry-standard AES-256-GCM encryption, no system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for keeping your unlock pattern private and for maintaining offline backups of truly critical documents.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, loss of profit, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of UnderKey.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of your jurisdiction. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in your location.
